Holy O Holy

I received the Holt Ghost this last Sunday. Elder Akers said a prayer and the moment he said "I give you the gift of the Holy Ghost" I felt something go threw me. And I knew it was the Holy Ghost! I have only felt the feeling once before and it was when I was in a car crash. It felt like something wrapped its arms around me to protect me and it was the same feeling I got Sunday! And I knew that this was a new beginning living my life through Christ, teaching my kids through Christ and loving my husband through Christ. I'm happy, so happy  and excited!

What a amazing experience! I'm so thankful for all the people who showed up and supporting my choice to be baptized. I felt so loved and it was so uplifting. But their was one more thing that was more uplifting then all the support people showed and that was going under that water and coming up and starting a new life through the Gospel!

My Testimony!

It took me a long time to get to this point of truly believing that this church it true! And By long time I mean 3 years and 5 months! But after praying, learning and going to church...stop going to church...Just to go back to church and pray again... I finally realized that through out my whole existence one of the many happy moments in my life is when I go to church. But not just any church, this church. SO on November 18th 2012(yesterday) I was baptized by the love of my life into the Church of Latter Day Saints and It is one of the best amazing spiritual choices I have made in my life. And I am so excited to start this next journey with my family! I look forward raising my kids and strengthening my marriage through the Gospel! From the feeling I have right now I know in my heart and soul that this church is true and I know that if I follow the gospel and commandments, my life will be filled with blessings Brent life filled with blessings and my kids life will be filled with blessing. And all I want is the best for my family And I know that to receive what is best for my family is through the gospel.
And I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I'm all mixed up.

So last night Barack Obama was reelected for President. Needless to say I can't change that. But what I can change is how I'm going to deal with this. I'm going to be optimistic and hope he can fallow threw on his promises. I'm going to pray that our country is heading in the right direction. And I'm going to be humble and except what has happened.
The biggest thing we as the people need to do is unite as a country and do whats right by our country. I believe that Obama wants to make us succeed and I will do my best to help him in the ways I can. I may not agree with everything he has to say but I didn't agree with everything Romney had to say either. For us to see change it has to start with us. I Congratulate Obama on his second term and let us all hope and pray for a better future with him as our leader.

Now that being said....
I'm not proud to live in Colorado at the moment. Everyone feels differently and has there own arguments and opinions which is fine. But as for me I completely disagree with amendment 64. I honestly don't want to raise my kids knowing that its okay to do drugs. IMO it is a drug. And when anyone says its a herb all I here Is BLAH BLAH BLAH! Cause again IMO it is a drug. Or how about this argument. Lot of medications are made from plants...Well your right but that is medication its suppose to help someone who is in pain or trying to cure cancer for instants. But this no this is going to be sold like cigarettes. So now not only do I have to worry about drunk drivers now I have to worry about people driving around high? Okay Yes I know people are already doing it I'm not naive but now we are making it easier. Yeah well this whole thing scares me. But again who knows maybe something good will come out of it. But as of now I disagree completely.

"I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and a happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it." Mosiah 2:41

November 18th

I bet you all are wondering what is so special about November 18th. Well after 3 years of praying and learning I have finally decided to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. That is right Brent will baptist me! This is very important to me and my family. I want to raise my kids right and I think the best way is through this church! I have learned so much and have prayed time and time again and I do believe this church is true! Once I started to go back to church I have felt like we have received so many blessing then we have before we started going to church. When I learn about the Gospel I feel so close to God and Jesus and I want my kids to experience that too. I want to be sealed in the Temple with my family so that not only will I get to spend this life with them I get to spend a eternal lifetime with them. I'm overflow with joy and happiness with this choice I have made and I truly can not wait to experience this journey with my lord and savor.

Halloween Spooky fun

Pumpkin Patch fun!

Halloween is by far my favorite holiday of the year! Our family does so much fun family things during this holiday! This year I took the kids to their first pumpkin patch to pick out their own pumpkins! Over Halloween weekend we went to Boo at the zoo and well both kids had a lot of fun running around looking at the animals and getting candy! And of course we took the kids trick-or-treating on Halloween night!
Aubree was a pink princess ninja for Halloween! She picked out her costume even though she really had no idea what she really was! And as for Talon he was a blue monster! I swear he was the cutest blue little monster around!
So far this was my favorite Halloween because I got to celebrate it with the people I loved the most!
Talon was a little blue monster

Aubree was a ninja Princess!

We went to a Superhero Party Dressed as the Bat-Family!

The kids other costumes for Trick-or-Treat Street!

The morning at the fire station!

Nothing like a fun trip to the fire station at look and learn about the fire truck! Aubree got to see a Fireman slide down the fire pole and also get to see what a fireman looks like dressed in all her gear! Aubree had a great time "driving" the fire truck and learning about all the cool things firemen and women do for us!

Its the Great Pumpkin!

Bet you never guess what the kids got to do today.....They got to go to their first pumpkin patch and pick out thier own pumpkins! Talon had fun walking and tripping all over the pumpkins and Aubree was running back and forth trying to find her perfect pumpkin! They also enjoyed fresh made corndogs and a few of the kiddy activities they had there. Our fun had to end sooner then expected cause it started to rain ;-/. But that is okay cause we did have lots of fun!

One year and counting

My handsome Little Man!
Talon is ONE! My little man is one! It is crazy to think that a year has already gone by and my little boy is growing up! I mean <---look at him! He is becoming a very handsome little man!
He has learned so much this past year and has quite the little personality! He reminds me so much of his daddy and there is  some traits of me too! Its great to see how he has grown and how he has so much more to learn! I can only hope he will grow up to  be a wonderful man!
How Awesome is his cake!
This past year he has learned how to say words like "hi, mama, daddy, what, no ect." He can walk all over the place and is now starting to run! He is now getting his 6th tooth in and let me tell you his is making it known! His favorite color is blue (or maybe I think it is because he is a boy). He likes to eat french fries and if he is lucky ice cream! His favorite toy is his wagon and tv show is the Broncos playing considering thats the only time he watches TV. By the way when the Broncos score a touch down Talon will throw his hands in the air smile and then clap cause he knows whats up! And I bet you can guess who his favorite sports team is ;-)! He is full of joy smiles and laughs and I'm so happy that I get to spend the whole day with my little buddy to celebrate his birthday!
